Ron Liebowitz's contended that Millennials are risk-averse. In his welcoming remarks. I disagree. My experience is that they take risk and manage it well when challenged to do so. It's more about the framework. Too much of the liberal arts setting places students in spectator roles as professors drone on, however passionately, in the front of the room.

But give them their heads in service learning environments that challenge them to defied and then execute complex projects and deliver actionable results, and they rise to the challenge more often than not.

I concur with Prof. Claudon

I concur with Prof. Claudon and was puzzled this morning when the presenters continually cited that the Millenials are "apathetic." From my experience, this generation, both in the United States and abroad, is one that is passionate. No, we don't all go out and protest in the streets because we're smarter than that. We use the tools in front of us to make change. This generation is one of the most socially conscious. Article after article cites the fact that Millenials (and many others) are turning away from traditional jobs in favor of social entrepreneurship and leading "healthier" lives.

Challenge us by letting us learn by experience. We can do it. We're optimistic, productive, and, if you allow us, innovative.
