Mr. Ward graduated with a BA from Middlebury College in 1987 and received an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1996. Prior to joining M/C Venture Partners in early 2000, he was a Vice President at BancBoston Ventures where he had been focused on early stage venture capital investing in information technology, communications, and healthcare companies since 1996.

Previously, Mr. Ward held operating roles at Fidelity Investments in sales and marketing, and spent five years as an officer with United States Naval Intelligence. At M/C Venture Partners, he is focused on communications-related information technology and infrastructure software and services investments. His Board level responsibilities include Fusepoint Managed Services, Artisoft, IntelliReach, and Hyperformix. He has also been a Board Director of Attenda Limited and NewSouth (now Nuvox) Communications.
