President and Chief Operating Officer, Jay Peak Ski and Summer Resort

William Stenger has been President and Chief Operating Officer of Jay Peak Ski and Summer Resort (Jay, Vermont) since 1985. In that capacity, he leads a 350 member staff.
Since arriving at Jay, Bill has increased skier visits by 300 percent; been responsible for the construction and sale of 140 townhouse/condominiums; developed a full-service resort and property management system; designed a 4-Season Resort Master Plan that includes a 27 hole golf course and 1,200 dwelling units and guided it through Vermont's Act 250 State Regulatory Process; and since 1990 ben an adjunct professor at Lyndon State College, teaching courses in ski area management.

Before arriving in Jay, Bill served as President and General Manager of the Jack Frost Mountain (White Haven, PA) from 1975 to 1985. At Jack Frost he led a 175 member staff; increased skier visits from 75,000 to 175,000 annually' helped build and manage 250 condominium units; served as President of the Pennsylvania Ski Area Association (1979-84); and was Chairman of the Pocono Mountain Vacation Bureau Ski Committee (1979-85).

From 1973 to 1975 Bill served as Director of Membership Services of the Eastern Ski Association (Division of the U.S. Ski Association). His responsibilities included developing membership service and communication programs and group travel programs; interfacing between membership clubs and ski resorts; and serving as Director of the Freestyle Program.
