Aaron Abend is a software entrepreneur who pioneered Customer Relationship Management when he founded CallBack Software in 1985 - 10 years ahead of its time. In 2002, he started a new company, ViaPoint Software, which is pioneering the new realm of "unstructured data management." The ViaPoint Explorer provides a cheap, simple but powerful new way to manage the growing amount of information on our personal computers.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur in 1985, Aaron worked for a Silicon Valley start-up named Metaphor Computer Systems. Before that he worked on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers.
Aaron graduated from Middlebury in 1977 with a BA in Political Philosophy and a concentration in Economics (taking 2 courses from Michael Claudon), He also earned an MBA from Columbia University in 1982. Aaron and his wife Shelley have three children.
