Group Counsel, at Intel Corporation
Mark Friedman is currently Group Counsel at Intel Corporation responsible for overall legal support of Intel Research & Development. In that capacity, Mark works closely with Intel's Chief Technology Officer, Pat Gelsinger, and is involved in a wide range of Internet law related topics including digital rights management, standard-setting for Web services and other digital technologies, open source development projects and IP licensing.
Prior to joining Intel in 1996, Mark worked at Weil Gotshal & Manges in New York City, where he specialized in antitrust law.
After graduating from Middlebury in 1984, Mark attended law school at the University of Texas in Austin and then clerked for a federal judge at the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York City. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Mary, and two children, Elliott (6) and Mia (2).
