Managing Director of Cambridge Translation Resources

Krista C. Lincoln founded and served as Managing Director of Cambridge Translation Resources (CTR), a Boston-based language management firm serving a broad range of clients including high-technology corporations, financial services firms, and school and trade publishers. Krista started the company in 1992 with a personal capital investment of $6,000; by working with sophisticated software systems and crafting dedicated project management teams for each customer, CTR emerged as a national model for professional translation systems.

In May 1998, Krista sold CTR to Language for Industry Worldwide, a venture-backed international communications firm. Her entrepreneurial experience was profiled in Inc., The Boston Business Journal and The Boston Globe.

Prior to founding CTR, her international business experience includes economic development consulting for the Hong Kong Government (1990-1992), working to link New England high-technology firms with investment partners in Hong Kong. She also worked for the U.S. Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee, chaired by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, focusing on domestic policy issues, such as AIDS, health insurance and welfare reform.

Krista graduated from Middlebury in 1986, with a degree in History and Mandarin Chinese. She recently relocated to Vermont, where she co-manages and directs James (4) and Nicholas (2) with her husband, Benjamin.
