Vicky designed and directed America's first online counseling center for distance learners for the experimental Electronic University Network on America Online (1989-1996).
Today, as CEO of geteducated.com, a distance learning consulting and market research firm, she consults with corporations and colleges on brand identity, strategic business development, and the rapid prototyping and testing of exemplary systems for use in training adult learners online.
Her clients have included traditional universities such as George Washington University and Internet start-ups such as Hungry Minds, AbiertaMenta (Open Mind), and PrimeLearning.com.
Vicky is the publisher of The Virtual University Gazette, America's first free electronic newsletter for distance learning professionals and The Virtual University Business Digest, which covers the business end of virtual learning.
She is the author of two best-selling consumer guides to online learning: Best Distance Learning Graduate Schools, and Never Too Late to Learn The Adult Student's Guide to College, co-produced by The Princeton Review/Random House.
Previous to founding geteducated.com in 1989, Vicky, a Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude college graduate, was Director of Academic Services and Psychology faculty for Antioch University's innovative satellite center for adult and distance learners in San Francisco, California.
