About Me
Born and raised in San Francisco, Ryan Kellett currently attends Middlebury College in Vermont. He is majoring in International Politics and Economics with a focus on China and will graduate in February 2010. On campus, he sings with Stuck in the Middle and the Mountain Ayres while also serving on the SGA Finance Committee.

Ryan has spent considerable time in China. Before enrolling in Middlebury, Ryan spent a semester producing and directing the first Broadway musical in the city of Shantou at Shantou University in Southeast China. He returned to China in Summer 2006 to tour the show to Guangzhou where it was warmly received. Ryan spent the rest of that summer in Hong Kong where he worked at State Street Bank located in the International Financial Center Two. Ryan is formally studying Mandarin at Middlebury College and will study abroad in Hangzhou in the Spring of 2008 in hopes of being in the country for the Olympics in Beijing.

Ryan is a recent graduate of San Francisco University High School where he was involved as the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and many theatre productions.

Ryan has been writing online since May 3rd, 2003. He began On Rye Blog on May 7th, 2005 and moved to ryankellett.com on February 26th, 2006. Ryan is a proud administrator for the College Blogs Network (cblogs.net) and is the founder of MiddBlog (middblog.blogspot.com). He also cross-posts on SFGate.com Community Blogs (SFGate.com) on the topic of education.
