About Me
Mike is the president of Ethics By Design, which assists business and nonprofit leaders in developing ethics programs that help assure mission success. He is a member of the Society for Business Ethics, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Bar Association, and the Vermont Bar Association (Public Education Chair). Mike has worked as a negotiation and conflict management consultant since 1992, providing services to Fortune 500 companies, Big 4 accounting and consulting firms, colleges, medical care facilities, and government agencies, including the Ministry of Justice in Jordan. Recently, he expanded his services to include ethics training, coaching, and systems design. He also consults with law firms and business organizations on ethical issues and the settlement of lawsuits. Mike is a Senior Professional with CMI Concord Group (www.CMIConcord.com) and also serves as a legal expert in USAID-funded Rule of Law projects in countries with developing economies such as Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A frequent speaker and resource person, Mike has conducted workshops at international conferences on conflict resolution and taught numerous seminars for lawyers and other professionals and business leaders on a variety of legal topics. Michael Palmer began his teaching career as a wissenschaftlicher Assistent at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he received his M.A. and Dr. Phil. degrees.
